I have a Tag F1 gulf coming this week as a general wear / holiday watch and id rather have it on a nice rubber strap than the oem bracelet.

Pic of the F1 gulf WAH1013.jpg

So far i have been looking at getting a tag strap (there are a few on the bay, these arent what come with the F1 as stock but close enough)

    Hirsch Accent

    Isofrane maybe?

    Like so: http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=205921

But these are all in the £50+ territory for a rubber strap.

Timefactors isofrane aside (as thats the option im leaning towards least) are there any other more reasonably priced rubber straps in the style of whats posted above, that isnt a lint magnet?

    cheers folks

I have the new isofrane - its very, very good. I don't really like its shape (cosmetic issue only - its exceptionally comfortable). Its untapered 20mm (comes in 22 and 24 as well) and on my 42mm Seiko just doesn't look quite as I would wish - I prefer the look of a notched 22mm, tapering to 20 on that one. That said, it is seriously high quality and its what I use with the Marinemaster (which by the way comes with a horrendous OEM rubber strap).

So out of curiosity picked up 3 or 4 from here, tempted by the free P&P. They are really very nice, comfortable, and much more tasty on price.

I've tried these on my Marinemaster and a Black Monster - they're great.

Last time I went on a beach holiday I generally wore the Marinemaster on a Nato - that was a really good alternative too, but I assume you already know all about those options.

Unless you were addicted to OEM straps for your watches I probably would never pay out for an OEM rubber strap. .02 cents.

as an old school guy, nothing beats a quality leather strap with a nice deployment.

I know I suggested the isofrane on tz for you but I was just thought of another one.
Sparrowcar got a rubber strap for his Mako with a red stitch down the sides. Worked for summer / swimming but also looked like a leather strap when it needed to look like one (if you know what I mean) .

I'm sure he can advise where he picked it up.

I've bought isofranes in the past and thought they were fantastic. Depends very much on the watch and how it adds to the looks.

Sorry for not responding until now. They are fine as regards picking up dust/lint in that they don't.
