Nissan Micra K11 Boot Light

    Hey Folks,

    The boot light has never worked and today after topping up the oils I decided to have a look. The light itself is in the boot space but when I popped it off there is nothing behind it- just an empty space. Is there supposed to be something there? If it's a wiring loom how am I meant to get access to it as the 'hole' where the light fits into is quite small.

    Many thanks for any advice.

    In my 98 K11 I have no light in the boot so I got a strip light that plugs into the cigarette lighter so I have the light screwed to the parcel shelf and the wiring is under the edge of the carpet and comes out near the lighter so I just plug it in anytime I need it.

    Something like these and got it in a motor factors....cheap and cheerful!

    My 96 micra has the lens for the light but nothing behind it either.

    I know on the earlier k11's a boot light was an optional extra:P I'd be surprised if this was still the case on later ones like yours OP(iirc you have late model k11?)

    Ahh... that's very interesting- a bit mad but interesting. It's a 99 reg so probably not late enough!

    Well I guess I can stop scratching my head as to why it doesn't light up. :pac:
