    Hi there

    Bought one of those wall showers that you stick onto the taps and wall mount for the shower head. When I took it out of the package the tap attachments, which claim to be rubber, are just like really hard plastic with no give in them whatsoever. Anyway, forced them on and the inside parts have cracked (a lot) so when taps go on water just flows freely back out and all over the place. Is there anything at all that can be injected in and around the tap that will properly seal them or am I going to have to fork out for yet another shower?

    Went to Woodies today and the guy gave me Boss White Pipe Jointing Compound, said it would never come off. I have since discovered that the stuff doesn't even dry! We explained the problem clearly so maybe I'm missing something...

    Be kind, DIY is clearly not my forte!

    Woodies gave you sh1t advice.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Get your reciept,get the tap/shower kit ans go back to the shop and as for a full refund.

    Croydex do a nice rubberized tap to shower set.Tesco stock them.

    Cheaper version available in any Argos store for not too much money.:)

    You need to soak these in hot water for a few minutes to make them stretchy and malable.Then you fit them on,as they will stretch more when they are heated up by the warm water.

    Thanks Paddy, I know. I don't think I'll get a refund as I broke it forcing it on and in hindsight, yes, hot water would make a lot of sense. So there's nothing that would work to seal it?

    The product failed...simple as that.

    Bring it back and stick to your guns.

    You have consumer rights.:)

    I know Paddy, and completely appreciate the crappiness of the product (and my stupidity at not doing the heating thing) but is there any way at all to seal it? Crazy week ahead and just won't have time/transport to go back to Woodies so if I could seal it, great.

    Unless it said on the product packaging or leaflet to heat it up with hot water..then how were you to know???;)

    Product failed upon instalation,so therefore you should get your money back.:)

    Nope, just said to wet it if it wouldn't go on, which I did.

    Is that a no to sealing it? Will I have to go all week without a shower?!
