A Dublin based National Ambulance Service Emergency Medical Controller has won an EU Award for his role in organising the air rescue of an Irish citizen trapped on a mountain in Greenland last year. Whilst I congratulate this EMC on his dedication and I am delighted that recognition is awarded, can I just comment that dedication and lifesaving activity goes on every day in Ireland by members of our ES with little or no recognition.
