    Hi all
anyone know where I could buy a geforce gtx 360m or a geforce gtx 280m graphic card I want to buy Diablo3 when it comes out next month and my old pc cant cope with it at all but my laptop can except for the graphics card, I was thinking of using the toshiba satellite pro c660 with a new graphic card a mouse and hooked up to my tv, I have spent too much time on various site that sell cards but they dont seem to list either of these, Diablo3 it seems is going to be very fussy about what cards it will support if anyone is interested
    check the list here

You can't upgrade the graphics card in a Toshiba Satellite Pro C660.

You'll have to buy a new PC or laptop. Or play Diablo 3 in "Low Performance" mode, which does support your Intel HD3000.

Mind you, Diablo 3 is not very demanding, the graphics is already autdated, care posting the specs of you PC (Mainboard, CPU, GPU, RAM)?

I assume Diablo III would be fine on a GT525m/GT540M?
I'm looking to replace at the moment and that's what I am aiming for. Already playing Starcraft II (low settings) and hoping to play Diablo III.

Certainly good good enough for medium (low) settings.

    Hi Guys
    Thanks for the replies
    my laptop is/has installed
windows 7 home premium 64bit service pack 1
    intel (r) core (tm) 2 d
    4gb ram (3.84gb usable) duo cpu t 6670 @2.20 ghz 220 ghz
mobile intel (r) 4 series express chipset family

I downloaded D3 beta free weekend got really excited late Friday night only to find out at 1.30am that the graphics wont play it sick or what, cant believe a Toshiba satellite pro laptop isn't upgradable, I cant justify paying for a new pc again I got away with that when D2 came out but cash is much tighter nowadays

When you guys say play in low resolution do you think I could do that but obviously I wont get the wow factor from the graphics, but if D3 is even half as good as D1+D2 playing online I could live with that
    Any thoughts
    Regards

Oh, I thought, your Tosh C660 was a newer model with a Core i3 processor and Intel HD 1000 (or better) graphics.

But yours seems to be an older Intel GMA 4500MHD, which means you're really SOL there.

You say you also have a desktop PC... specs, i.e. motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, PSU?

    Hi Torqay
    the pc is even older
win 7 ultimate 32 bit service pack 1 (was originaly xp would switch back if it helped)
    Intel pentium 4
    cpu 3.20 ghz 3.20 ghz
    Ram 4 gb (3.5 usable)
Radeon x600 series microsoft corp wddm

I doubt I could get this to be quick enough what do you think

Nope, that wouldn't do either. The processor is just too slow, no point in upgrading the graphics card.

Your Tosh is a budget notebook and was never really meant to play games. I'm afraid you'll really need another computer for Diablo 3, there is no way around.

And I understand you dilemma... no way would I buy a new computer, just because of a game.

My problem is not the CPU, but I can't really upgrade the GPU due to the stupid 255W PSU in my Dell Optiplex. Kinda stuck with my OCed HD 4350, which plays the beta alright but not in "high performance" mode. I could probably get away with a HD 5450, but that's hardly worth the money. :D

Look around at adverts, see if you find some 2nd hand C2D desktop, they're cheap enough.
