Raider gearbox locking up

hey lads

Ive got a G&G raider here that the gearbox in keeps locking up. i put in a fully charger battery a try to fire it and it locks up, i then have to press the forward release button to be able to shoot again, but the same thing happens, now when i put a 2.2mah 1.6v lipo in it, it only locks up like that in burst, any ideas as to why, would rather have an idea before opening it up myself, thanks

is it the motor?i hear the motors are too weak in them to drive the gearbox.try swapping it out with one off another gun to test it

Wait...a 1.6v battery? Well there's your problem :pac:

Try a decent 8.4v or 9.6v battery in it.

nah dude, it aint that, + its a turnigy lipo so....

If it's a 1.6v battery, regardless if it's lipo or not, that is what is causing the problem. Or was the 1.6v a typo?

I had to remove my motor and adjust the motor Hight so it sits right happened me in a skirmish the first time I used it :P

my raider was having the same problem , kept locking up on semi , the wiring , gears and alot of other parts had been replaced internally , and it was still locking , replaced the motor and the problems went away , might be the same cause here good luck !

sure ill stick a different motor in it when i go home and see what the story is, thanks lads

oh and this happens more often when you use a 9.6 cranestock battery than the it does with the lipo

put a new motor in it there and she is firing beautifully, thanks for the help lads :D:D

G&G make great guns , but ive never had one that I was able to leave the motor alone :rolleyes: .
