    Hi

I am using google chrome and i have windows XP installed, with the last day or 2 when i try to log onto certain websites like facebook, yahoo i keep getting this red screen coming up saying invalid server certificate it wont let me log onto any of my accounts, i tried updating chrome to see if that would fix it but it says its upto date.

Any ideas how to get rid of this?

Clear the browser cache, delete the cookies and try again.

Have you checked the date and time on your machine? An incorrect date can cause a certificate to be flagged as invalid.

Make sure that windows is up to date, that is, update root certificates.

Money says you've picked up some spyware that's pointing your traffic through some proxy that's attempting to perform a MITM attack on you. Go check your proxy settings. If you're at home, you shouldn't be needing a proxy at all.

seems to be ok on IE so it must be a problem with google chrome, the date and time are fine on pc, i am using a pirated copy of xp on my pc which does not update maybe that's the problem but it has been fine with the last 2 years.

Think i may need to do a reformat of the pc as it may need it anyway

    Thanks for the reply's.

This is likely the issue, you should purchase XP or windows 7
