I've booked to go to San Sebastion for a week in June.

Can anyone on here who has been recommend good things to do while I'm there?

You can do a day trip to Biarritz by train. I think it's only about half an hour journey time. There is also a bus tour of San Sabastien, I think it's hop on hop off. If you like food you'll love the tapas.

    Thanks I will do that.

I've heard about the tapas, looking forward to spending some time in the old town.

San Sebastion is a lovely city, my ex boyfriend is from there so have spent a good bit of time there. Its a very easy city to get around walking. There are lots of bars and restaurants with very good food. Our favourite one to visit for some cheap food and drink was "Bar la Mejionera" located on Calle del Puerto. The calamares are amazing.

When we ever had visitors there we would take them to La Perla http://www.la-perla.net/

It is a spa on the beach. It is about 25€ for 2 hours but worth every penny. It is also possible to hire bikes and take a cycle around the city. There is a boat trip that goes from the fishing port which is nice (think about €10 but could be wrong) If you are interested in surfing its possible to hire boards.

If you are flying into Bilbao it is very easy to take the bus to San Seb. Also it is worth going to spend the day in Bilbao especially to see the Guggenheim.

    Any questions just shout!

I've been to Bilbao and went to that museum. The Spa looks excellent and definitely something I am going to do.

I'm thinking about staying in this hotel although I'm afraid it's a bit too far away from the centre.

Looks like a nice hotel and seems in a good location. There is a prom all along the beach so it would be a nice stroll into the old town in the evenings. The hotel is located on the sun bathing beach, if you are heading for surfing you might want to be on the other side near the Kursaal.

I wish I was going in June, its such a nice city.

I'm not going for surfing and wanted to spend a couple of days just relaxing in the sun so sounds perfect for me.

Can't wait for my holiday now! Thanks for the advice.
