Getting the acceptance form signed by parents...

My parents live abroad so it will take me a short while to post the form to them, have them sign it and post it back.

Would I be able to scan/fax them the form and have them post it back? The form is on coloured paper so the grants body would know it wasn't the 'original'.

I'm guessing that having my parents send me a scanned copy of the signed form (i.e. I scan it and send it to them, they print it off and sign it and scan it back) would not do?

I will ring and ask on Monday, but if someone can provide me with an answer before then it will save time. Cheers

If they're living in Europe, it shouldnt take much more than a week to do a round trip for the letter. I would regularly post co-signed forms up and down from my mother (it's only cork, but it doesnt take significantly longer to post around .eu). Ring them to confirm, or see will they accept a fax from your parents direct to them, rather than a form printed from your computer (not much of a difference in principle, but you'd be surprised how many govt/business entitites value fax and not scanned/printed papter).

Thanks. Am I right in thinking that I won't receive any money until whenever the next (and presumably final) grant instalment is paid?

Provided they have everything sorted before that, that's the most likely date. Not too far off either, usually sometime in May I think/

I've sent it off to be signed. I'm supposed to bring the acceptance letter to my uni Fees office, and the 2 forms (bank details and signatures one) to the County Council right?

Is there any point in bringing the acceptance letter to my college now, or should I wait until I've submitted the two forms to the CC?

Drop the acceptance letter into college when you're in next. The council will send further info direct to them later.
