Trying to sort mates TV. Perfect satellite signal to sky box and main TV. Aerial feed channels are also perfect at this location being fed into sky box and sent to TV via coax or scart.
There is also a feed from rf2 going to bypass splitter in attic. With power to rf2 turned off, the aerial channels are good throughout the house but sky is not. If rf2 power is switched on, sky is good and red button etc works but the aerial channels are messed up.
This all worked fine until recently. I think he has some form of booster on the aerial channels. Would this be causing it? Or is it just connections gone bad.

Have you tried changing the rf channel on your sky box

Nope. Will give that a try.

Sounds like there is a masthead or set back amp after the aerial and before the rf input of the sky box, and also a distribution amp line powered by the 9v RF2.
Terrestrial channels are being over amplified , leading to distortion , noise etc on analogue and drop out on DTT ( if applicable) .
MH or set back amp should be disconnected if not needed. ( nb just unplugging the psu for the masthead amp won't work, a competent person will have to get onto the roof and physically remove it . Obviously I would reccomend a professional rigger to do this ) . Attenuating the signal on input to sky box may also work .
