I knew Ticketmaster had tickets on sale for the semi final double in Semple tomorrow, but does anyone know if there will be tickets for sale at the pitch. They were at the pitch last year but haven't heard anything this year to say if they will be.

Should be no problem picking up a ticket at the ground, get there early to avoid the queue

good advice, apparently there were mad queues today, not enough gates open selling tickets. They had to delay the start of the Kilkenny V Clare match. I wasn't there myself, just heard this reported on Radio 1.

there was a link for tickets on the GAA website and if I remember correctly that was one of the fixtures that you could print your ticket at home saving on the hassle of collection or risk of getting them posted, so also something to think of when setting out for a game. (Cavan v Roscommon hadnt that facility )

And with many feeling a little financial squeeze nowadays, the ability to pay by credit card rather than cash (especially at the end of the month) should actually be an advantage over paying cash at the turnstiles.

There were massive queues at Semple yesterday causing a 15 min delay to throw-in but to be honest I wouldn't be blaming the GAA for this.

There were several outlets available to purchase in advance and these were well advertised. Too many people just didn't bother making the effort.

I was in Semple yesterday and the queues were indeed long. Very long. Lot of grumbling and moaning, too. Seen one of the old lads in the stiles taking a bit of heat from some guy who was "on the road for 2 hours".

As if that had anything to do with anything.

I had no problem queuing as I knew I could have bought tickets in advance. It was pretty much a last minute decision to go. As Formosa said, people can't stick this one on the GAA. Plenty of prior notice.

And some people in that same queue got a good soaking too as there was an almighty downpour at the start of the Clare/KK game. I dodged it, thankfully.
