The seals on my Turbo might be gone i useing a lot of oil geting white smoke on start up for the frist few min's and then just the odd time after ive being driveing it for a while.

There seems to be a lot of oil near the turbo but im not sure if its from oil spilled on the engine as it needs toping up all the time. Is there any way to test what is wrong with out haveing to take things apart i was told it will cost 150 to change the turbo plus the cost of the new turbo but dont want to pay 150 and then be told the turbo is ok. There is no loss of power at all just oil needs a lot of toping up.

Blue smoke at start up would be indicative of turbo issue and burning oil, not white. Is there any signs of oil mixing with water?

No coolent level is at full how about sticking valve seals ? I know it is a known problem with the 1.5 dci clio's but it gets loads of driveing every day and i flused out the engine to see if it would unstick them it did not help . Only thing is renault recomend doing it twise but i would have tought doing it onse with make it a bit better if that was the problem.

Any oil issues, turbo, stem seals, rings etc etc, will give blue smoke.

White smoke is water/coolant being burned.
