    Hi all,

I'm looking for help on an issue I have.
    I own a Samsung Laptop, model R710 (http://forums.techarena.in/reviews/1178676.htm)
The screen died on me and I lost the use of the screen.
Also though another cruel act of fate, I also managed to damage the hard drive.

What I am hoping to do is to use the laptop connected via HDMI to my main TV in my house. I'm hoping I can use it to connect to Net Flix ect.

If I connect my Sansung to a monitor (I have an AceR P206HL), will I be able to work on it and can I re-install a operation system?

It's not in my possession at the moment so looking to see if this is feasible before I go to the trouble of getting it back?

    Any help is appreciated.

There should be no problem. You my need to press some Fn key combo to toggle between the internal and external display.

Thanks Torquary. So even if there is no OS system installed, as long as there is a hard drive I can begin the process?

Not even a hard drive is required to get an external display working.
