Connecting to bluetooth tether

I want to share internet from one android phone to another using bluetooth.

I need to use something like pdaNet tablet on the destination phone to connect to the bluetooth DUN.

When I hit connect, the OS says it wants to create a VPN connection, and do I trust the app. Should I trust it? Why does it need to create a VPN?

Is there any other app that enables you to connect to a bluetooth tether / DUN?

Just use wifi hotspot, much easier.

    Phone A creates wifi hotspot.
Phone B connects to wifi hotspot, just the same as connecting to any wifi.

If you cannot do this because of tethering restrictions, then note that this applies to bluetooth as well.

Nope, a tethered wifi hotspot is an adhoc network, which Android cannot connect to without rooting and modifying system files. Something I could easily do with an app but I want to use Bluetooth.

Recent versions of android have no problems with it. The older ones did indeed have problems with adhoc. Try it. If it doesn't work then you could try upgrading to more recent version.

My transformer tablet has no problems connecting to my sgs2 hotspot. My older archos tablet however did.

I have ICS, and it doesn't see the network. It doesn't matter if it did anyway, I'm asking about bluetooth.

I tried to do it with bluetooth in the past without success. Wifi should work fine if both devices have ICS.
