Stretching Hush Puppy Boots?

I got a pair of these as a present and they are the perfect length, perfect height but a bit pinchy around the toes and across the bridge of my foot.
They are leather but the inside is lined with synthetic material (bit like the way a runner is lined).
Do you think it's possible to get them stretched to make them roomier widthways? I was thinking of taking them to a cobbler but I don't want to go to the effort of doing this if it's a pointless thing to do and they have no hope of stretching?
    Thanks!

I got a pair of shoes in the sales at Xmas and they were a half size too small for me, could barely walk in them!

What you do is, fill some ice bags with water, pack them into the boots good and tight, and leave them in the freezer overnight. As the water freezes and turns into ice, it expands and stretches out the boots. Worked wonders with my shoes and they've stayed the same months later!

If you don't have ice bags, maybe regular plastic bags would work. Just make sure they're stuffed in good and tight.

Thanks a million Magenta. I know of this trick but because these are knee high boots they won't fit in my freezer! I'm going to try the stuffing then with wet newspaper idea and see if this helps. Can u tell me, we're the shoes you got at Xmas leather or synthetic lined?
