Any good gaming laptops circa €1000?

Can I pick up a good gaming laptop for around a grand anywhere? I boringly have only ever bought from Dell. Any advice appreciated!

Nah, still around but bad@$$ offers have become quite rare there lately.

That HP is not a bad machine, decent allrounder, full HD and all, the only thing out of line is the 5400 rpm HDD, but that's not the end of the world.

For a real gaming laptop with a top class GPU you'd have to cough up at least 1500 Euro. But the Radeon HD6770M is a good bit faster than the GT 555M which you'll often see in mid-range gaming laptops.

What would you buy if you were to ignore the €1000 limit? I don't mean spending something ridiculous like €3000 or something though!

This MSI looks pretty good.

Dell don't do gaming laptops anymore, their XPS range has rather crappy GPUs, they'll want you to buy Alienware if you're into gaming.

A GTX560M at this price is is top... but a 1366 x 768 display??? What were they thinking?

The 650M is about 40% more powerful than the GT 555M. I'm pretty sure it surpasses the 560M as well.
