Anyone see a very bright light in the sky yesterday.it was in the sky in the same place for about 3 hrs motionless. It was weird as when looking at it looked as if you were looking at the light through a blurred window, as it had a white bright centre with lines coming out around it in a complete circle, was really strange. It was so bright my ****ty phone camera could see the light. I took a picture but just looks like a white dot with black sky.

Most likely to have been Venus,

    Was it towards the northwest?

    What do mean by this?

when you look at stars especially the brighter ones how do they appear to you?

like tiny points of light like this?

Or like the lower aperture examples like this? f/22 for example?

or something like this, take notice of the smallest one in the center?

If its like the first one then your eyesight is fine. if its anything like the second and third example unfortunately you may need to get an eyetest

Or if you are not used to looking at stars take the second example for instance, do street lights in the distance look like fine points of light like in f/2.8 or do they appear more like they do in f/22?
