Black smoke blowing across under the exhaust heat shield,
Black soot on turbo and engine bay.

Whats in there is it an easy fix or a gasket?
    Any help greatly appreciated

Looks like your dpf to turbo calmp is leaking..there is a modified clamp from peugeot which works pretty well....the main thing when fitting this is to ensure that both mating faces pull in evenly with the clamp.

You can see the clamp is No 10 in the diagram...:)

Btw...have you had the dpf replaced lately...?
Blocking dpf's can cause back pressure which increases the chance of this
    clamp leaking.

Its a heat shield over the turbo.

@OP, As per ROW's advice above, its likely that a new clamp will only be temporary fix as in my experience, DPF issues normally cause the back pressure that leads to leaks there.

Without it you will start getting heat damage to the surrounding plastic parts.
