Get Magnús Ver Magnússon to throw them over the next time he's in Scotland.

Start using them where you are now. Eventually you will become strong enough to throw them the distance needed.

probably cheapest to drive them over yourself via Ferry.

How much weight are we talking about OP?

It may be cheaper to just dismantle the bench and bring that, sell the weight there and buy it again here.

You'll get a 140Kg olympic set here for not too much.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,209 ✭✭✭Redzer7

Get them a pair of armbands and swim, swim swim.

Rucksack on your back, bench in left hand and bar in right hand. You could wield the 7 foot bar as if it were a staff. Perhaps grow a longish beard before the journey so it doesn't look odd.

Google argos.ie or irishlifting. If you're going to rack 140kg you'd need a substantial bench.

IMO OP. Sell what you have and buy something over here.

I had a friend once who lived in america, he then moved back to Ireland and brought the furniture over in the boat. But he couldnt get the furniture to fit into his house because the furniture was too big

Seriously, put it on a pallet and wrap it in cling wrap and ace express will bring it back for like a hundred of your european euros.

Heavy stuff tends to sink in water. Well unless you make a few modifications to the item in question so that it resembles a boat.

That doesn't necessarily help. I'm having extreme difficulty trying to work out how one transports a barge over from the UK.

Apologies....I was thinking of John Paul sigmerson (not even going to check the spelling on that one)
