Paypal/Ebay: Can't add card

    Hi, looked around a little and I couldn't find anything similar.

    I recently made a Permanent TSB account so I can use it's debit card for Ebay.
    I'm attempting to add the card when I post an ad on ebay, but it keeps refusing. (All details are correct)

    PayPal accepts the following cards:
    Visa / Delta / Electron
    MasterCard / Eurocard
    PayPal Top Up Card
    Maestro
    American Express
    Debit cards (also known as bank cards) are accepted if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo.

    But you are asking about eBay, not PayPal. They are two separate companies with different criteria.

    Did you edit the thread title to include Paypal? or was that always there?

    I am attempting to sell something on Ebay, for the first time.

    I choose Paypal for my method of receiving money (and paying fees)
    I then have to add a card, and it gets refused.

    I have the same visa debit from TSB, never had any issue. Did u activate your card in your open 24 online banking? is your card activated for online transactions? is your card activated for "verified by Visa" on the TSB website?

    If it does not work, you may call them to check your card.

    You can also add the card in your PayPal account, link your ebay and PayPal account and decide to pay your fees with your PayPal account.

    I can't add my card in Paypal, or Ebay.

    I signed into my Open24 and went to 'Card activation':

    OPEN24 - ACTIVATE YOUR CARD - STEP 1
    SORRY, THERE ARE NO CARDS AVAILABLE TO ACTIVATE AT THIS TIME.

    Guess I'll have to call them tomorrow.
