Do you see the POST screen on your TV?

If not. keep tapping F8 at the start and hope that you will get into the windows boot menu.

In Windows 7, you'll need "Enable Low-Resolution Video", Arrow Down 4 times, Enter.

In Windows XP, you'll need "Enable VGA Mode", Arrow down 4 times, Enter.

This is assuming that your laptop was not shut down properly and the cursor is already at the top on "Safe Mode", if the cursor is on "Start Windows normally", it's Arrow up 6 times (5 times in XP) and Enter.

Once in VGA Mode, you can change the resolution.

    Good luck. ;)
