Just came across this video on youtube which i found interesting -

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYTlN6wjcvQ

I understand Ethan Winer now has a book out about it following on from the workshop which i'd like to pick up over the next while.

What audio myths do you come across a lot and find catch out people time and time again? Or what misconceptions do you find hold people back from the stuff that really matters?

Also, I do know a guy who has coated one of the rooms in his house with egg carton boxes.

Do a search for Ethan Winer/Mixerman. His opinions cause a lot of controversy and confusion amongst many professionals. It's an interesting debate with strong opinions on both sides. As always the truth is probably in the middle somewhere.

I watched the audio myths video.

While everything they are saying might be true nowdays. When I first used Cakewalk, on a typical PC, with a soundblaster card, the degradation and glitches etc, were very audible.

Nowdays you can get a very high quality sound from a home PC. But there was a time you definitely could not. And definitely not with a soundblaster card.
