The Ballynonty 10 mile takes place on the 29th of July at 11am in Ballynonty village Co.Tipp. This is a great race and great value at 10 Euro. No bells and whistles but loads of grub afterwards. Flyer.

PB course if the wind holds off. Will be there for a crack at it :)

It's my home village and I've never got to run it for one reason or another. Won't get to do it this year due to injury. I'll keep it on my to-do list though. One of my club mates from Kilmore AC did it year before last and found it tough with the strong wind, after I telling him it was a nice flat course with great PB potential:o. Hopefully wind will keep away this year.

Is it a flat or hilly course?

Couldn't get a much flatter 10miler,but open to the wind for a lot of it if it blows.Great race in 09/10/and 2011.

Entries are only on the day. The course is flat OK. Here is a link to a satellite map of the route.

The orange/brown areas are bog so that whole area is flat. Goes from Ballynonty, to Glengoole, down towards Littleton and back by the Bord na Mona briquette factory to Ballynonty.

Might give this a go as part of training this weekend. Will help me try to keep the pace up for the distance.

Well done to all involved. At a tenner, this could not be faulted. Very good course and an even better bit of grub after it.:D
