Can anyone help ? After being made redundant in may 2011 i decided to do some travelling around turkey and parts of the middle east. I returned to ireland in December of last year and was still undecided as to whether i was going to stay in Ireland or to travel again. I decided to stay but i did not register for job…

Can anyone help ? After being made redundant in may 2011 i decided to do some travelling around turkey and parts of the middle east. I returned to ireland in December of last year and was still undecided as to whether i was going to stay in Ireland or to travel again. I decided to stay but i did not register for job seekers allowance as i was staying with a friend and as such had no fixed address. Eventually i signed on yesterday 19th.
Am i entitled to my payment backdated to when i returned to ireland ?
