Idea robbed from the MMA forum, as asked-if you could have a pint/chat etc with any fighter who would it be and why?

Absolutely has to be James Toney, now that would certainly make for an interesting night

    Yikes....

Theres so many but would probably go for Big George and Hopkins. Both big characters who know the fight game inside out and would have some stories..

Wouldn't it be better for us guys to go for a pint and have a chat about which fighters we'd love to have a chat with?

    Marvelous Marvin Hagler for me.

If I went for pints with Prince Naseem Hammad I reckon I'd punch him (then run) by the time the evening is out. Has there ever been a more annoying boxer?

I think Ali's trainer or Bert Fisher would have been great company on a night out. If I had to choose one ex boxer, it would be either George Foreman or Sugar Ray Leonard.

I'm gonna go with a duo on this one and pick Derrick Chisora and David Haye. Now that would be entertaining.

Serious answer:- Leon Spinks - seems like a funny character. I don't think drinks with him would be so difficult to arrange at this stage!

    Roberto Duran.

I would chose Hagler, he deserves a drink for the bad decision that was handed to him vs Leonard.

Who i immediately thought of, then after the pint i'd drag him down to a local field and watch him K.O a horse.

Frank Bruno would be some craic. Was at a Ricky Hatton gig in the olympia a couple of yrs ago and frank was on first doing a Q&A. Hadn't seen him in a while and there had been bad press on him not being in a stable state but he was great. Really funny and in great form. Even Bruno's laugh had the crowd going

Met an ex boxer in San Fran (Irish Pat Lawlor) who beat a well past it Duran in 91, the stories he had about Duran were incredible. Duran introduced Pat to the woman he would later marry and divorce and even held the wedding reception at his house..

    Two very interesting men
