Does anyone know how much medical expenses you can claim without showing receipts. I know you are meant to keep them but I have them thrown somewhere in the drawer. Can you claim for about €500 on the PAYE system without having to forward anything?

    Thanks

you dont need to send receipts.... but they can request them - a random number are checked and receipts requested. can you request copies from your doctor?

Do you have to fill in that Med1 form.
I thought you could just do it on PAYE Anytime?

Hopefully this thread isn't too old to bring up again!

When it says prescribed drugs.... if the doctor gives you a prescription which includes medicines available over the counter is it ok to claim for these?

Also the company pays for about 50% of my medical insurance and I pay the other 50%. Is there anything I need to claim back on this or will it be tax relieved at source like when people pay it them selves?
