Amazon.co.uk, free delivery query

I want to buy 2 items that in total come to about 40 GBP. On their own, neither item cost over 25 GBP which is the minimum spend to qualify for free delivery.
1 of the items is an album which is not released until the end of April.
My question is whether to qualify for free delivery must both items be dispatched at the same time, or must they merely be purchased in the same transaction.
    Thanks.

What if I'd like my items to be delivered when they become available, rather than wait for one delivery? Are my orders still eligible for FREE Super Saver Delivery?

No. Only orders with all the items delivered together qualify.

No, you're ok with what you're doing. A couple of years back I did something similar to you but the book that wasn't out at the time kept getting delayed so I sent them an email and asked would they retroactively add postage to the first part of the purchase which i had already received if I cancelled the second part.

They said no as the free postage is calculated at the time of the order. A couple of times since when I wanted an item that was under £25 but wanted to get free shipping, I ordered a CD or DVD that wasn't going to be released for a while and then cancelled the order once the item I wanted arrived.

Hmmm interesting. Though it´s the album that I really want.
It kind of puts one off pre-ordering things under 25 GBP, as most albums would be.

i bought two books - 1 was on preorder and the other wasn't. Got the non preorder book a couple of days after placing the order so they split the delivery for me and i didn't have to pay anything extra

guess its look of the draw?
