I'm after buying a tp link mr3220 modem, the tp link website says that the huawei 353e modem is compatible on other networks.

Does anyone have these 2 working together and if so could you please tell me how you have done it?

    Its driving me mad!

I really don't want to have to buy another dongle

Does the router recognise the modem? Once the modem is recognised use the option in the 3G settings Set the Dial Number and APN manually and use the APN and dial string (always *99#) for your network.

Did you upgrade to the latest firmware? http://uk.tp-link.com/support/download/?productcategoryid=202&model=TL-MR3220&version=V1

Is the SIM card locked - remove lock in a phone

    Thanks for the reply.

NOTE THIS WAS FOR EMOBILE & NOT METOR AS I SAID FIRST (only difference should be the apn)

    Manage to get this going

before you plug your dongle into the router go to the network tap on the left and check 3g only box, save settings

click the 3g tab on the left

check the Set the Dial Number and APN manually box

    used *99# for dial number
    and broadband.eircommbb.ie for the APN

leve username and password blank and leave the other settings as they are

save these settings and plug in the dongle

    reboot the router

i had everthing right it was the order i was doing it that was wrong.

    hope this helps someone else!
