How important are my Junior Cert results in terms of applying to university in the UK? :)

I'm a good student, who plans on applying to medicine - Oxford Preferably

So, are my Junior Cert results going to influence me getting into college in the UK? :P

Make sure you get A's in Maths and Science, whatever you do. English too now that I think of it. You'd probably be better off to aim as high as possible in everything though.

In as least a condescending manner as I can say, don't expect your goals to stay the same in three years time. Nothing wrong with doing medicine in Ireland, either.

For most courses junior cert results aren't that important, the emphasis is on predicted grades. But as medicine is so competitive, especially in the likes of oxbridge, your junior cert will be taken into account. I'd imagine you'd need mostly As, those universities really have their choice of the best students and any weak point in your application will let you down.
