    Hi,

I'm looking for a good wedding band , preferably 4 or 5 piece, for my wedding next year. I've been quoted prices ranging between 1600 to 2400euros. I don't have that sort of budget.

Id really appreciate it if others could share their experiences in this area and maybe give me an idea of prices they've paid or even recommendations for bands (I'm in Galway area however i think most bands would probably travel right?!).

    Thanks :D

Hi. We booked a band called gobsmacked from co.leitrim.
They are charging us 1800 incl dj afterwards. I got a quote from another band called sound waves-they are 1500 but I'm not sure if that included dj.

Or book a DJ for the Full Night. An experienced DJ should be able to cater for everyone and is ideal for people on a tight budget. I have been to many weddings lately where they have only had a DJ and it has worked great:).

    Just a thought...

Amazing Apples are worth a look in Galway. My brother's the drummer so I'm biased but they're going to be doing my own wedding next year.

The last rates I heard for them would have been just below the range you've been quoted to date. They play in Monroes most weeks and won the Townhouse Bar Battle of the Bands this year so easy enough for you to see them in action. I know they're booked most weekends this year for weddings but think they've decent availability still for next year.

there are soooo many bands out there.

Youre looking to find one thats Good, cheap and available but unless you get really lucky you only get 2 from those 3 choices.

Lot of groundwork to do to go and view bands that arent mainstream with lots of recommendations. But as sleepy says, the amazing apples are from galway and have a great name.
