So I'm doing a wedding with a second shooter and afterwards i would like to be able to move our photos around together into certain orders or just simply be able to arrange by time taken.

I was told this could be done by syncing cameras to an iphone? Or just syncing cameras...could anyone elaborate on this for me? Or even tell me a decent way of re-ordering/ordering photos in lightroom?

    Couple of methods -

The first would seem to be the simplest way. Doing it on the day rather than a time prior to that would ensure the cams were as mirrored as possible in reation to their timestamp. Sort by Capture Time in Lightroom.

I'm not sure I really understand the conundrum. If you put them all into a folder and sorted it by time taken, would that not achieve it? Is this for work flow or presentation - what's the end goal?

Thanks troony, ill give that a shot!

Zillah, it would be for presentation as well as workflow i guess, but predominantly presentation. I have worked with a second shooter before and for love nor money could not get our photos to sync by time or re-arrange them in lightroom which was very annoying and held up the whole process no end. Obviously id love to just sync the cameras and bobs your uncle, but id it was even possible to rearrange/sync photos from two different cameras in lightroom id be delighted.

Yes, sync cameras. It can be as simple as setting the time to an identical time with both cameras side by side 3 - 2 - 1, Set.

Well worth it particularly when doing your workflow afterwards. Not that I remembered to do it last time I needed it

    :D

I do like the sound of this simple way! So wait, all i have to do is stand beside the person with their camera, with my own camera, go to the time setting and sync them, and then done?

Yup as simple as that, almost like Mission Impossible 2 :).

Then when you get home to the computer, all you do is 'sort by time' and they will all line up perfectly for you.

Ah here! I totally thought it was more complicated then that! Been googling it and everything all night and now i find out its as simple as that! Many many thanks! :D
