    Hi OP,

You poor thing :( of course your confidence is going to take a huge knock and I know it's hard, but you must realise that the act of cheating says more about the perpetrator than you. Just look at celebs that cheat on their gorgeous wives.

If you want to join the army, look into it- breaking up is a good opportunity to do things you've always wanted to.

Surround yourself with friends OP and hats off for sticking to your guns on not taking him back.

    Hi Op,

First of all, it's nothing to do with your family. It was your relationship and your choice on what you want to do.
Glad to see you took the courage to end the relationship - it's not easy, and it was the best thing to do in my opinion. Well done.

I know it's easer said then done, but try forget about your ex.. He cheated cause he is an ass and it's gods way of telling you "you deserve better & move on". Your only 21 so much life left, don't spend anymore of your time wasted on one asshole.

IMO it's best to give yourself some "me" time after getting out of a relationship.
Try not to focus on other guys, I think it just makes things harder and it sound like your craving another relationship already. Forget about the other guys and maybe hold off on the texting until you get yourself back on track.

You should start doing things for yourself, looking after your health, join a course, join a gym, start eating healthy, spend more time with Friends and family. This will make you feel a lot better and take your mind of things.
The army is a great start, you are doing something you wanted to do but couldn't. this is a great step and well done.
Think of other things you would like to do for yourself and get started on them :)

Your already after gaining a lot of self respect not taking him back after what he done, that's a really good thing that you should be proud of.

Hi OP- you're ex 'wouldn't allow' you join the army?
Whyever not? Its a good job with a lot of satisfaction.
Don't feel pressurised by your family to go back to someone you don't love- and don't worry about whether you came on too strong with one of the guys you like- you're young, you have your whole life ahead of you- and if your ex was dictating what you can and can't do (aka you can't join the army)- totally aside from his cheating on you- you are well shot of him.

I'd 100% suggest you talk to some of the serving people in the army- and get a feel for what its like- and if you fancy it- put your best boot forward- opportunities are few and far between these days, if you find something that you love- go for it!
