I'm looking for an aluminium frameset with internal cable routing and hydroformed (or smooth) joints, can anybody recommend one?

Rose bikes do a nice one for about 600 euro, here's a link showing what I mean by smooooth..

Before anybody suggests I but a planet-X or hong-fu carbon, it's under consideration, just haven't made my mind up on carbon Vs aluminium (and it's not Friday).

Also, there are a few Canyon lovers on here too, but I haven't found one with smooth joins.

Doesn't have to be new either, my current bike is 56cm

Canyon are boasting some pretty smooth joins on their latest. I think this is one.

Out of curiosity, why do you want internal cable routing?

I've only had it on one bike and it rattled.

Personal preference really, I have a CX bike with all external cables routed down the top of the crossbar, looks like the fret-board of a guitar. On a CX bike it kinda makes sense, on a road bike though I'd prefer the sleek lines.

    Didn't think that'd be a problem

Lapierre do nice smooth welded hand built alloy frames but no internal routing as far as I know. I even have one for sale in a size 58cm if you're interested!

About time you built a road machine, Cervelo S1, internal cables and also aero, not the lightest about but a nice ride. Cervelo have stopped making the S1 but there are some frame sets to be picked up second hand.

You can pick up a new (2012) Ridley Orion carbon frame with fork and headset for 650 if you look around.

    They get great reviews.
