    Silly question perhaps,
    but do you have to pay tax on profits made on the above type of trading ?

    this threads a bit old but did you find out anything?
    just started using them and was also wondering the same thing
    most people say they are considered similar to gambling and therefore aren't taxed...but it'd really help to have some official confirmation

    Sorry to drag up an old topic, but rather than start a new one with the same question..

    I saw this article - http://www.binaryex.com/taxes-on-binary-option-trading-profits/ , which suggests the answer above may be different now, at least in the UK, what about Ireland?
