Hi all. Just to give a bit of backround, I'm currently working as a machine setter in a medical devices plant in the midlands and would like to get more into the automation technician/machine building side of things. I have over 4 years experience in the current job. I did a mechatronics course a few years ago but left with one subject still to do. I know I should have finished it before but I'm planning to do it online with ITSligo. What I'm wondering is, what are the chances of a company taking on someone into this line of work with the experience but without the piece of paper in hand? I'm also in the process of getting my private pilot's licence which should help spruce up the cv:)
