    Hi folks,
I bought this yesterday and the tape deck isn't working properly: http://www.adverts.ie/home-audio/sony-mini-hi-fi/1539319

When I press play, the two wheels don't spin, but you can hear a sound as if maybe something is trying to make them turn. The record button can't be pressed down either.

Just wondering is there anywhere South Dublin/North Wicklow who'd fix it up? Given the age and value of the hifi itself, I don't want to spend much. Any feedback appreciated :)

probably just a drive belt has come off the motor, open it up and a have a look probably an easy fix it would cost you more to have it fixed than its worth

Opened it up and couldn't see anything too obvious, didn't want to get too much into it. Dropped it into a friends dads shop and when I asked how much it would be he said "ah not too much" :o so I'll find out on Thursday I think..
