    I'd love to see himself conduct, a lot of the time other orchestras and conductors don't sound like the original versions at all, there's some really crappy arrangements of his work on soundtrack compilation cds. It'll be a sad day for movies when he's not around anymore, so many iconic themese from one person. There are great composers around these days but he's had more oscar nominations (33 iirc) than anyone else for a reason.

    they're a bit late with a "birthday celebration" though? he turned 80 back in February according to imdb.
