Thinking of a new iMac

I know there is a refresh on the horizon soon enough so I have been holding off until it is released and I intend to either buy the new model or get the 2011 model at a reduced price.

Thing is I don't know which model to go for. I use my current windows laptop for internet browsing, listening to music, watching movies, some web design on dreamweaver, paint shop pro and very light video editing.

What kind of spec should I be looking for? Also what kind of money is the above software likely to set me back to buy it in Mac versions?

Edit: Just realised I may have posted this in the wrong place...I'm new to the boards!

No, you are in the right forum.

iMacs are overdue an update, so you should definitely wait. As for which model to get, there's not a lot of choice. Screen size is the main deciding factor. And who knows what changes the next update will bring.

The good news about the software is that, aside from DreamWeaver and PhotoShop, all of what you want can be done for free on the mac with iLife and the other built in utilities. I don't have prices to hand for DW or PSP but you could certainly look them up.
