I had a fueling problem with the car during the week. Had a look at it today to find one of the spark plug leads was fecked. But I also noticed the spark plug was a but "higher" than the others.

When I tried to remove it, it took considerable effort to unscrew. I've attached a photo of what I found

Looks like it was possibly cross threaded. Fortunately, when I tried one of the good plugs in it's place, the thread in the engine block seemed to be OK. I can get the dodgy plug partially back in. However, I'm a drive away from the nearest place I can get another plug and I have no lift either.

Is it possible to drive the car with the plug in the position it's in? I'm assuming the car will only be running on 3 cylinders but I don't want to make a bad situation worse.

I would avoid putting that plug back in at all as if you damage the threads in the head you will make much more hassle for yourself.

Understood Nissan Doctor. That's why I have just threaded it until it barely bites. Zero force applied.

In that case the danger is that the cylinder pressure will just blow the plug back out.
