    Hewya,

I've played in series bands during my twenties. Now I'm in my 30s and would love to meet up with some people with similar musical tastes and play music for fun. Head into a rehersal studio every now and again, play some good music and most importantly have a laugh.

Musical tastes; Local Natives, Phoenix, Redneck Manifesto, Ryan Adams, Sea and Cake, The National, Jeff Buckley, Red House Painters, Sebadoh.....

I'm a guitarist (play lead and bass) - so if you're a drummer, a bongo player, keyboard, triangle player or whatever and like the idea ... drop me a line.

    Cheers,
    E

Good stuff Pethates, what kind of percussion do you play?

If we can get a drummer and another guitartist/bass we could organise a get- together in a rehearsal studio. Only €15 each for 5 hours with equipment.

Not overly interested in recording at the moment, just playing live and having a laugh.

Anyone else out there with similar musical tastes?

Sample Demo I recorded a few months ago:

    Hi,
I'm learning piano and like some of the stuff you mentioned (no idea where piano would fit in if you were going down a Sebadoh route mind you!).

I am only learning, though. Would you be looking for people a bit more competent? Can play basic guitar too.

play kit drums..but i think conssidering everything is percussion at its base i like to improvise on different instruments sometimes...played in some rock cover bands in past but i hate it to be honest..id rather have a good late night jam than play out live with a band with songs that mean nothing to me...lets get a jam going soon if your really up for it...my tastes are bach to captainbeefheart ...
been stiff too long no and need to experience music jamming again...and to that piano man wwho left comment..who cares how long your playing...come along...anyhow, thats my 2 bit

Eblistic - if you've a keyboard I'm sure you can create some interesting sounds.

Pethates - sounds good, seems like u can cover all things rythmic. I can play bass and guitar. If we can get another guitarist on board reckon we can give it a whirl.

Temple Lane studios is €70 for 5 hours + all equipment... theres prob cheaper out there. (€15/€20 each depending on how many jamin)

I'm Paul, I play rhythm guitar but am only playing about 4 years.
I'm not too bad but never played in any sort of a band before!
I play and sing. A huge Noel Gallagher fan.

Let me know if you might be interested

I am based in Dublin too.

Hi, didn't know of a couple of bands you listed but checked them out and liked what heard.
I play bass, come up with lines fairly fast, instantly if it's a simple structure and I'd be up for a jam if you're still looking for a bassist?
Cheers btw, hope it's going well.

Bump - we've a couple of guitarists/bass player and keyboard interested. Any drummers with similar music tastes interested in meeting up?
