Another Oil Boiler bleed question

Ran out of oil and Rellio boiler won't start. I took off the cover and started to loosen the black screw in the centre of the picture but I think this is the wrong screw. Should I loosen the allen screw to the right ?

Reading through other threads it sounds like I shouldn't touch the black screw? What are the consequences of turning the black screw?

You have basically adjusted the pump pressure. This must now be reset with an oil pressure gauge and then re-analized to set the correct air to fuel ratio. You will now need to call out an OFTEC technician.

    F***

I wouldn't normally rush into something like this but the house was freezing and the match was starting.

Anyone in North County Dublin qualified to do this, and available tomorrow, feel free to PM me.

For future reference, to bleed, loosen the silver nut below the pump adjustment screw until fuel comes through. Hold a rag or tissue below it to eliminate unwanted fuel spilling below the burner. Once you get fuel through re-tighten. If the line is air locked, you may need to press the reset button whilst the nut is open and then tighten once fuel comes through.

Wow!!! You can tell all that from looking at the position of the pump adjustment screw. That is impressive. Would that be set to 7.0 bar, 7.5 bar, 8.0 bar, 8.5 bar, 9.0 bar, 9.5 bar or 10.0 bar. All of which are suitable for kerosene. What would 0.5 bar discreptancy do to the air/fuel ratio?
