Hi all, my mum recently lost a lot of weight (over 4 stone since November) and has discovered a new found love for fashion and makeup.

As a treat I'm looking for somewhere to take her so that she can be given advice on makeup application etc as its a whole new ball game to her. She's 49 and ideally it'd be somewhere we could go together and cater for both our age groups. I'm 23!

Any suggestions for places in the limerick and surrounding area would be great. Including info on prices and what it involves would also be handy!

    Cheers ;-) x

I saw urban decay in debenhams on o'connell st offering classes a few weeks ago, I'll check tmw on my way into work to see if they're still there and report back! :D

They're Still doing them.. €200 for a four week course with a cert at the end and you get a make up starter kit worth €200 and a cert at the end..

Or you can do a masterclass which is one two hour class for €50!

these guys are meant to be very good and have a studio in limerick http://www.bellamakeover.ie/index.php
if there is a brand of make up she likes like lancom dior ect you can book in with them in brown thomas and they will also give makeup lessons and recommend whats best for your skin type act and normally the cost of it is redeemable against any products.
also if you google make up artists limerick a few come up, most of them also offer classes on how to apply make up!:D
