    Hi all,

If a school is successful with the first Green Flag application, is there a ceremony held by An Taisce or is it up to the school to arrange a ceremony themselves?

If there's an An Taisce one, when/where roughly is it held?

    Thanks!

A small no. of children(about 3/4 )go with a teacher to collect the flag at An Taisce headquarters in Dublin. Many schools therefore choose to have a ceremony to raise the flag at the school so that the whole school community can participate. Some schools ask a local politician to raise the flag, personally I prefer the children to do it.
