Recovery after racing

    just wondering how do you all recover after racing? protein shakes?ice baths? easy spin?

    I don't race but I think the general theory is to consume a mixture of carbs and protein (there's some suggestion that it should be one part carbs for every four parts protein) within half an hour of finish

    In practice a choclate milk is useful, or else a specialised whey protein / carb drink

    carbs to protein should be more like 4:1
    'self myofascial release' is very benificial, I do it after racing and every hard training session followed by more the next day.

    Can this be done? Getting this from my physio at the moment and am convinced its some kind of magic
