If you were to repeat a year of college what fees do you have to pay and if you are on the grant scheme do you lose it for the number of years left to finish the course or just for the year you have to repeat?

Can't remember the fee for repeating a year. Think its somewhere in the region of €2000 though.

The govt pays you to do each year of college once, so no grant for the year you are repeating. If you pass the year the second time round, you'll get the grant for each subsequent year.

The repeat fee is €1650 and you're only without the grant for your repeat year :)

If you were not receiving a grant in the first place, I presume the repeat fee is still €1650 extra on top of the normal fees?

The repeat fee is €1,600 and can be paid in two instalments €800 in September 2012 and €800 in January 2013. You will not be entitled to a grant for a repeat year (unless very serious certified serious illness) but you will be entitled to full attendance at lectures, medical centre, student services (including Student Assistance Fund) and Library and Computers.
