Does anyone drive the M50 from Santry to the Sandyford exit in rush hour mornings? I was just wondering how long it takes? And also the reverse journey in evening rush hour?

    About 40 minutes or so.

40mins?! Really?! Thats not so bad at all! Google maps told me it would take 30mins, so I assumed rush hour traffic I'd have to at least triple that!

Yeah, the M50 was vastly improved when it was widened. Also, I think traffic volumes have taken a hit due to the recession.

I travel from Swords to Sandyford Ind. Est. each morning and the door to door time is 36-40mins. I do try to be at my desk before 8am though, so traffic maybe lighter for me than it would be for you.

Yeah, it's definitely handier at 8am. Still, 9am is a lot better than it used to be since they put the traffic lights on the roundabout at the top of the slip road. Well the Northsiders have felt the benefit anyway :P
.....allowing a bit of extra time if its raining though. That always slows things down.

Depending on whereabouts you're coming from in Sandyford and at what time, it can take quite a while to get out in the evening - After about 5pm journey times from the industrial estate to the M50 can be longer than the time it takes to travel from the M50 on-ramp to Santry!
