Banned from The Gentlemen's Club

Hi there,

I would like to appeal a recent permanent ban that was given to me by Otis Driftwood in the Gentlemen's Club. I was banned for posting an image in the
"tGC Easy on the Eye Thread - Posting NSFW Image = Permanent Ban,No Chat/Quoting Pics" thread which I thought was similar to other pictures in the thread.

I understand that this is a "no tolerance" thread and that posting pictures of naked NSFW images results in a ban. I however posted an image of Anne Hathaway wearing a see through top which in all honesty I did not think was offensive or against the rules. In fact, I made sure this image would be ok by looking through the thread and seeing similar types of images. Not only was I banned from posting in this particular thread, I am also banned from entering the whole forum. Given the fact that a non registered user can enter the forum to observe all posts, I feel that I should at least be able to view posts.

I have followed the process of appeal to this point by:

a) Contacting the mod and explaining/apologising for my action
b) Discussing reinstatement due to my mistake
c) Asking for the ban to reduced
Unfortunately, I have not been able to reach agreement with Otis Driftwood.

The reason I am appealing this is that I feel the punishment in this case does not fit the crime. I have been posting on boards for years and have never received such a harsh punishment for such a minor mistake. Indeed there have been times when mods have contacted me to over certain issue and I have been more than willing to comply. In this instance and given the length of time I have been on boards, could I please ask for a fair and judicial review of this incident. I do not like getting into disputes with mods and I hope that a satisfactory outcome can be reached in this case.

As I have said, I looked through the thread and saw repeated images similar if not same type as the image I posted up:

I am indeed sincerely sorry if this image was against the forums policy, however I do not think it is fair to have me excluded from the entire Gentlemen's forum in this case.

I would please ask that this case is looked into and I respectfully ask for a more lenient ban in this case or a gesture of goodwill to at least let me post in the forum if not the thread.

After much discussion we've decided to overturn the ban.

The rules need to be clarified regarding what's allowable in the thread, especially given the penalty for transgression. I believe TGC mods are looking after this now. The ban will be overturned in due course.
