House Plans Opinions Please

    Hi everyone,
We are hoping to put a planning application forward in a couple of weeks. We are doing a whole redesign as their were too many obvious issues with the previous design. I designed this rough plan online and just want to get the opinions of some of you more experienced minds!
Don't worry about the size on the drawing as it's only a rough 'blueprint'. We intend on a house of about 2500sq/ft but before we started working off this idea I want others to enlighten me with some constructive criticism. Then I can get on to the whole baffling issues of Part L and which isulation set up etc...
Thanks for any comments, good or bad!

Elevations would be useful. Anyway here's my unprofessional thoughts...

Music room has no windows - add one to the west.
Sitting room will never see sunlight in the evenings when used most often -turn it into a bedroom?
Circulation space on ground floor is huge!
Dining area looks miles from the kitchen. Half the size of the island, move the dining table to where it says 'kitchen' and use the space from the stove to the decking as the sitting room.
Move the stove to one of the walls.
Do you need the sunroom? Maybe glazing on the side of the main building (where the new sitting room could be) would be just as good. You'll loose the balcony upstairs then which might be good as it would have been a flat roof. A small balcony might be possible and this would also provide shading on the south facing glazing downstairs.
The first floor looks like a nice layout but makes very little use of solar gain from the south.

    Hope this helps!
