Can I claim dole during Summer holidays?

Is it possible to claim dole during the summer holidays. I finish secondary school in June and begin third level in September. Is it possible to get the dole during the months I am off from school? Guessing it's a bit of a long shot. :)

No you cannot claim until 3 months after you finish your leaving certificate.

On the same thread, my daughter is 19, she is doing a PLC course that is finished in 2 weeks, she is hoping to go to 3rd level in Sept/Oct, can she claim any benefits for the months that she is not in education. Thanks in advance.
