What is the story with repeat essays for English?

I've been having some personal problems for the last couple of months and I'm pretty sure I won't make the deadline for one of my final essays.

I was wondering what the story is for repeat essays, or is there such a thing? I know there's a late folder for essays, but I don't know the details of handing it up after missing a dead line.

I read you can get 'a type' of extension for the late folder essays if you have a medical cert or recommendation from the college councillor, but these aren't really options I want to avail of.

Thanks. Any help with this would be really appreciated.

The english department grant extensions only in the case of extreme illness or the death of an immediate family member.

Once you have finished your final essay submit it to the late folder box on blackboard.

If they grant your extension you won't be docked marks.

If they refuse you an extension you are docked 2% of your final mark of that paper for every day you were late with it.

    Hope this helps
